Content of this Web
The Divine Office in this Web follows the current official Liturgy of the Hours in Latin language: Liturgia Horarum - Iuxta Ritum Romanum, Editio Typica Altera -1985- It is presented in a PDF booklet for every liturgical date presented.
The booklets for Sundays and Solemnities of the whole liturgical year contain:
I Vespers, Lauds, and II Vespers.
The text of every single antiphon is written before the chant antiphon. Some times when the exact Gregorian antiphon was not found, an alternate one with a similar or related content is used.
The proper antiphons for the Gospel Canticles, are considered in its 3 Cicles A, B, and C, - as per the 1985 edition of the Latin Liturgia Horarum - in sequence, with the canticle in the respective chant tone.
Since this is a work in progress, not all the chant antiphons are included yet. I'm updating the contents as I have them available.
I'll be uploading and/or updating the booklets I've been creating over the last couple years for personal use in separate "Pages".
The size of the pages allows for good reading on a small tablet or device.
I own Les Heures Gregoriennes (I suppose it is OCO 1983)... but it is outdated now.
ReplyDeleteI do not own the OCO 2015.
So I was checking your Dominica II Per Annum (= Hembdomana II) and I realized from the first ant (*I vespers, Ant 1.*), it does not match Les Heures Gregoriennes.
I think you made it so it would match the prayed ones, but I don't know if they are the same as the ones in OCO 2015. I think they aren't.
On a side note:
I was wondering, did you resource to a document for adding bold and italics in Psalms, I like it. I've tried adding them using Liber Usualis (when available and applicable) but I think it's just not the same.
Thanks for stopping by, Octavio.
ReplyDeleteI don't follow the OCO. I have created everything from scratch searching for every single antiphon of the Liturgy of the Hours in the many PDF books available online -some of them indicated in the "resources" tab of this Web- mainly Solesmes books (my favorites) but also Dominicans, Cistercians, and I've also transcribed antiphons directly from manuscripts available in the Web.
As per the 1st Antiphon for I Vespers - Week 2- (Lucerna ...) that is the one in the printed English Liturgy of the Hours books, and the Latin edition. See here http://www.almudi.org/images/Portals/0/docs/Breviario/fuentes/perannum/breviarionlineff.php?formato=2&nuevoarchivo=zpsalterium_to-d-2.htm#_hlk75328731
It seems that the OCO 1983 has a typo or mistake on that -or maybe it is another option which I don't say anywhere else.
This doesn't exclude possible mistakes in my own work, which I will be happy to correct if noticed or pointed out to me.
As for your "side note": there is this amazing resource for doing that great task very easily:

It is what got me doing this work, which I started about three years ago. It is very simple and very powerful. You can type whatever text you need to have marked according to the different modes, and even you can create new variations.
Blessings on your Chant.
